As senior Hunter finished the 2014 season with a .433 avg with 42 hit, 24 RBI, 9 doubles and scored 27 runs and was named to the 2014 All-UCHSBaseball 1st team while helping the Panthers to back-to-back state championships appearances and winning the 2013 2A State Title. Hunter helped lead the Panthers to a Rocky River Conference regular season and tournament championship in 2013 with a 30-3 record ... drove in the winning run in the Regional Championship game before scoring the game-winner in the State Championship game. Jones hit .375 as a junior with 39 hits and 9 doubles while being named 2nd team All-UCHSBaeball.

As a junior at UNC-Charlotte Hunter, has started all 44 games for the 49ers and is hitting .272 with 41 hits along with 18 RBI.

As a sophomore Hunter started all 55 games at shortstop for the 49ers hitting a career-best .283 with 51 hits, five doubles and 11 RBI and raised his batting average 86 points over the final 28 games nearly hitting his first career home run in games at Rice, vs. Old Dominion and at UTSA … picked up first career triple on April 19th at Gardner-Webb. Hunter drove in a career-high two RBI on April 30th at Rice and registered 16 two-hit games on the year and made just 14 errors at shortstop in 249 chances.

As a true freshman Hunter played in 39 games starting 35 that included Charlotte’s final 33 games of the season as a freshman. He made collegiate debut and picked up his first college hit on February 21st in game one of a doubleheader vs. Akron. Took over starting role at third base on March and knocked in his first career RBI on March 21st at FIU. Jones recorded six multi-hit games during his freshman campaign. Hunter hit .313 when leading off an inning and .500 with two outs Congrats Hunter!!
